Welcome to Cotswold Knit
We create beautifully patterned accessories in exquisite yarns and colours, designed to bring joy and individuality to those who wear them.
Cotswold Knit was founded in 2020, in the midst of lockdowns and home-schooling. Founder and designer Anna Wheeler began knitting scarves from home as small gifts of love for friends and family. Word quickly spread, and soon, friends of friends were asking if they could buy for their friends.
Now, five years on, Anna no longer has time to knit every piece herself, but she still designs everything by hand, making the first prototype in her Warwickshire studio. And the heart of Cotswold Knit remains the same: To create accessories that delight and inspire, to feel good from the inside out. Each piece is impeccably made, rich in detail, and designed to be treasured for years to come.
Anna designs for women who care about how their clothing is made—who choose investment pieces over fast fashion, and who express their individuality through timeless and beautifully crafted design.
My inspiration comes from English country gardens—not the pristine, manicured kind, but the wild and wonderful ones, full of character and charm. My grandmother’s kitchen garden, with its vegetable patch and herbs and its old greenhouse where I used to play mud pies —that’s the kind of beauty that influences my designs. I embrace the imperfections of nature, finding charm in things that change and evolve over time.
Many of my floral designs have no set repetition, just as in nature—each pattern is filled with intricate details, capturing the essence of something uniquely special.
